There are some people who simply do their jobs, and others who are happy to go that extra mile for people, whose thoughtful nature and small acts of kindness can make such a difference to their customers, especially when the service concerns something as important as your wedding. Gaynor was so helpful to her brides that many described her as their 'unofficial bridesmaid'. The people who voted for Gaynor all agreed that she was the voice of reason they needed, and was there for them every step of the way, from their first consultation right through to her hands-on help on the day itself.
WEDDING VENUE
There are lots of stunning venues in Scotland in which to hold your wedding, but what made Arnot Tower Gardens stand out from the crowd was the excellent level of personal service offered to customers. This level of service didn't just show itself on the day though; it was evident all through the planning process. The Arnot Tower Gardens team prides itself on paying attention to those all-important details and being flexible so that each couple gets exactly the day they always imagined.
WEDDING SERVICES
Top Table Toastmaster - Douglas G MacDonald
Many of the people who voted for Top Table Toastmaster commented on just how many aspects of the day he helped out with, rather than simply acting as an MC as they might have expected. They also noted how he made sure all the guests were looked after and kept informed about what was happening on the day. The common thread that ran throughout the comments made about Douglas was that he had thought about all the little things so that the couples themselves could enjoy the day without worrying. As well as helping to smooth the transition from one stage of the day to the next, voters noted that Douglas was on hand throughout the planning process to provide reassurance and was also happy to share his many years of wedding expertise.
INDIVIDUAL EXCELLENCE IN SERVICE
Lynne Cooper at the New Lanark Mill Hotel
This award was one of the most hotly contested and most difficult to choose a winner from, simply because so many people in the Scottish wedding industry offer an excellent level of service. Lynne Cooper was chosen because not only does she provide a consistently high level of service to each and every client, but she has also shown a determination to increase the venue's profile and the number of bookings has grown rapidly since she started working at the New Lanark Mill Hotel.
INDUSTRY AWARD
The Industry Award was particularly difficult for the judges to decide upon, but after many hours of furrowed brows they decided that By Storm was the company that had come out on top. Many criteria were taken into account in reaching this decision, not least of which was their generally fantastic standards of service, as well as maintaining a local manufacturing base in Glasgow while simultaneously achieving growth outside Scotland
