HOW IT WORKS
The Nomination Forms are sent to The VOWS Awards by email or post. The purpose of VOWS Awards is to recognise those companies who offer consistant, excellent service so the short-list process is quite stringent. Upon receipt, the data entered the system and the process was as follows:
| On 20 September 2008, all entries will be counted and qualified. Entries reeceived after this date will go towards next years nominations. Incomplete entries are disqualified. | |
| All qualified entries are verified through one or more of the following means: • Wedding confirmed with the General Registrar of Scotland • Random cross-reference confirmation with other wedding suppliers listed at wedding • Random confirmation with Brides/Grooms • Companies reviewed to ensure they meet entry qualifications |
|
| All qualified entries are then grouped by category and the mean average of each category is determined. | |
| Those companies scoring less than the overall average are removed. | |
| The mean average of the remaining entries is then calculated. Those companies scoring less than this mean average are removed. | |
| Due to the amount of entries, all companies with less than 10 entries (20 entries in larger categories) are then disqualified. | |
| Of these remaining entries, every category must have had at least five companies who attained a high average score. Entries in these categories which have not are re-distributed to the General Wedding Services category. • Categories with >500 entries have 3 Nominees • Categories with >750 entries have 5 Nominees • Categories with >1,000 entries have 6 Nominees • Categories with >1,400 entries have 7 Nominees • Categories with <1,401 entries have 10 Nominees |
|
| All nominees are invited to the awards dinner (one complimentary ticket) held in November 2008, where the winners will be announced. | |
| Winners will be presented with their Award and the rights to use the VOWS AWARD copyrighted logo in association with their company advertising and promotion for the next 12 months. |
