The VOWS Awards are voted by the public, from brides, grooms and members of the bridal party who have married in the past year and nominated their favourite wedding suppliers. A pre-requisite to becoming a VOWS finalist or winner therefore is to provide a consistent level of outstanding service to your bridal clients. However, there are ways you can encourage your clients to vote for you!
Always have a supply of nomination forms on hand, or the VOWS website address for online voting, to give to your clients. You can provide this information at any time during your contact with the client, but remember, votes are only eligible if cast AFTER the wedding date when the client has had time to evaluate all suppliers involved in the planning of and the wedding day itself. Many suppliers slip a nomination form in with a 'congratulations' or thank you letter or card, asking the client to take a few moments to complete the form if they have been satisfied with the service/product. From the thousands of nominations received, it is obvious that many clients are more than happy to do this.
Promotional VOWS Awards buttons are available for download which can be added to your email communications or website, so your clients can easily click through to the VOWS website and cast their vote.
We have made it even easier this year for your clients to vote for you by making the nomination forms FREEPOST! We have also changed the layout of the forms slightly by asking the bridal clients to vote for their suppliers in order of preference. Don't worry if you have been using the old forms though as these will still be counted and graded separately from the new forms.
Please note that in order for entries to be eligible:
* All nomination forms must be completed AFTER the wedding date
* The wedding date must be between 21 September 2011 and 20 September 2012
* For the entry verification process, the bride and grooms' names, date of wedding and district in which the wedding was registered must be completed on the back of the form
* Suppliers are entered onto the form in order of preference so no part of the form should be filled in by the supplier
* The nomination form must not be completed in the supplier's shop/studio or venue
* The completed nomination forms must be posted in by the bridal clients, not the supplier
* Only one nomination form should be completed per wedding
Encourage your clients to add a few comments about their experience with you in the area provided on the printed and online nomination form. This information will be reviewed by the judges panel should your company be shortlisted.
Please ask your clients to complete all details as requested on the online and printed nomination form. The VOWS Awards will not pass on this data to any other organisations - it is strictly for entry verification purposes that maintain the integrity of The VOWS Awards. Unfortunately too many nominations are disqualified each year as information pertaining to the wedding date, district and the bride and grooms names is not provided.
We thank you for your participation in The VOWS Awards and wish you every success for 2012! If you require additional nomination forms or have any questions about The VOWS Awards, please email info@vowsawards.co.uk or call Liz on 0141 445 7930.
