How it Works - Consumer Category Vote

All qualified nominations are counted and the mean average score is calculated.

The top scoring nominees for the category are then notified and asked to submit information giving an overview of their business, along with a short explanation of why they believe they should win. This information, along with a sampling of consumer comments and the category scores is then presented to the judging panel, who will deliberate until the winners are confirmed. Winners will be announced at the Awards dinner.

How it Works - Individual Award of Excellence

Managers, owners and staff are encouraged to submit a nomination for any employee who offers consistently outstanding service. Once short-listed, the person who submitted the nomination is then asked to provide further details and specific examples of the employee offering first class service. This information is then presented to the judging panel for deliberation, which continues until the winner is confirmed. The winner will then be announced at the Awards dinner.

How it Works - Industry Award

This is the pinnacle of the VOWS Awards, as all the short-listed nominees from each category are eligible to win. This award will be based on each short-listed nominee’s submission of general business information and their short explanation as to why they believe they should win. This information is then presented to the judging panel, who will then deliberate until the winner is confirmed. The winner will then be announced at the Awards dinner.
